The upper is smooth black leather with a rounded cap toe and clean panel seaming across the quarter. Two leather straps cross the shaft — one at the ankle with a squared buckle, one higher with a smaller keeper — and a side zip runs the full height beside them. Underneath, a lugged rubber outsole with a low block heel.
The straps are the whole idea. They're set at different heights and different widths, which breaks up the shaft and gives the boot a motorcycle line instead of a military one. It's the difference between a boot that looks issued and a boot that looks chosen.
Inside, a genuine leather lining backed with padded textile keeps it comfortable from morning to close.
