The upper is cut from smooth leather in a deep burgundy that shifts under light — nearly black in the fold, clear red where the shine catches. The shaft is gathered along its length so it collapses into loose folds around the calf instead of standing stiff. Underneath, a stacked block heel and a rubber outsole give it grip and a low, steady walk.

Burgundy is the color that does the work of a neutral without behaving like one. It sits against black, denim, camel and grey the way brown does, but it's the thing people notice. An inside zip keeps the outside of the boot unbroken.
