The Alex runs a heavier build — a thick micro sole, a wide toe, layered panels across the vamp — and then blacks the whole thing out. Tonal leather logo appliqué at the quarters, black laces, black sole. The volume is in the shape, not in the color.

Foam padding through the collar and a leather lining backed with padded textile mean no break-in period. These are comfortable out of the box and stay that way through a full day of walking.

Underfoot, the micro sole is lighter than it looks, with real cushioning and enough height to change the proportion of a wide trouser.
