The Megie laces the full height of the shaft over a structured cap toe, with two buckled straps crossing the leg and a full inner zipper down the side. Antique brass hardware throughout — eyelets, speed hooks, studs and buckles — against a deep chestnut oiled leather.
The leather is the point. Oiled full-grain that lightens where it bends and darkens where you handle it, so the toe, the ankle and the shaft each go their own way over time. It doesn't stay uniform, and it isn't supposed to.
Speed hooks at the top of the lacing mean you don't thread fourteen eyelets every morning, and the inner zipper means you barely touch the laces once the fit is set. A low block heel and a rubber lug sole underneath — knee-high, flat, and built to walk in.
Inside, a genuine leather lining backed with padded textile keeps it comfortable from morning to close.
