Three buckles, all of them oversized.
The Lauren doesn't do subtle hardware. Three wide leather straps wrap the shaft, each closing on a heavy silver buckle sized to be seen from across the room. Nothing else on the boot competes — smooth black leather, tonal stitching, and a chunky serrated platform underneath.
Mid-calf, so it works with a jean tucked in and with a hem stopping just above it. The platform adds height without a heel to balance on.
A full inner zipper means the straps stay where you set them. Set the fit once, and after that it's a pull-on boot.
Inside, a genuine leather lining backed with padded textile keeps it comfortable from morning to close.
Available in sizes US 6 – 10.5.
