The Forest runs on the moc toe — the stitched seam that made American work boots what they are — in soft black nubuck with a matte, velvety hand. No contrast, no hardware that catches the eye, no logo doing the talking. Just a heavy silhouette blacked out from the eyelets to the tread.

Six eyelets, a padded collar and a foam-backed lining mean it holds the ankle without pinching it. Broken in from the first wear, not the tenth.

Underfoot, a rubber lug sole with welt stitching delivers durability, traction and a grounded, planted feel.

Nubuck is a living surface — it will soften, mark and take on character with wear. Every pair ages into something particular to the person wearing it.
