The Albus is a leather high top with nothing on it: no logo, no contrast panel, no color blocking. Just tumbled full-grain leather with a fine natural pebble in a warm bone, tonal laces, and a raised diamond panel at the quarters that you notice on the second look, not the first.

The shaft sits high with a foam-padded collar, so it holds the ankle without stiffness. Full leather lining inside, which is rare at this height and the reason it doesn't get clammy by afternoon.

Underfoot, a micro sole in cream adds cushioning and a little height without the bulk of a chunky trainer.

Bone is the harder off-white to pull off and the better one to own — warmer than stark white, and it reads as a choice rather than a default.
